Our Families:
We continue to keep up with Stephanie & Joseph, Jill & Charlie, and Brianna & Tyler. It's hard to believe that all of these families' babies have surpassed or are quickly approaching their 2nd birthdays!
We shared Brooke & Mathew's story with you in February about recently welcoming their son Wyatt. We're happy to announce their adoption was finalized in May! This means that they are now legally his parents and we couldn't be happier for their family.
"Yesterday was a big day for our family. Wyatt’s court hearing for the finalization of his adoption! We have loved you since the day we found out about you Wy-wy but now it’s official. We love you more than we can put into words. We praise God for bringing you into our family and we are grateful every day for your birth mom giving you life and entrusting you to us. Thank you to everyone who have supported us over the last 3 years and beyond. You have been there for us on the mountain tops and in the valleys."
Nicole & Eric have welcomed a baby boy (Tamin) earlier this month! We are over the moon for them after having endured 5 disrupted matches. We look forward to providing you with more updates from them as they return and settle in at home as a family of 3.
"We are floating 🩵 We made it 'home' from the hospital (still in beautiful Utah) yesterday. Today we are just soaking in every single snuggle, dirty diaper, and coo. These past few weeks have been incredible, and we were finally able to see all of the pieces of Gods plan fit together! We were really able to get to know his birth mom, and we adore her. She was amazing throughout and we know our relationship will continue to grow. Tamin is healthy, and passed all his infant tests with flying colors. We are just in awe and feeling so extremely blessed."
Jessica & Chris experienced heartbreak last summer after the baby boy they matched with passed away shortly before birth. We are thrilled to share their baby girl Valencia was born in February. This will never take away the pain of the baby who was lost, but your support has helped them find light in the darkness.
"Daily we are struck by the magnitude and wonder of being entrusted with our newest daughter, Valencia. We are all so head over heels in love. Her older siblings enjoy reading to her and snuggling with her. Valencia has started to laugh and smile this month which is filling our home with even more joy."
We'd also like to introduce you to a brand new family Caryn & Sam. They experienced the loss of a baby boy they were matched with in late January, just weeks before he was due. They reached out to Disruptive Hope for help to get back into the adoption process. The very same day of our first call with them, they placed with a beautiful baby boy named Lawson. "Those days in the hospital were filled with so much love, respect, tears and hugs for this perfect baby boy. The relationship we have with the birth family is beyond amazing! We share messages, pictures and videos often. Birth mom and grandma often tell us how they are so grateful they chose us and the relationship we’ve built. No matter how much I tell them, I don’t think they understand the magnitude of love I have for them for this beautiful gift of life. We knew that the adoption journey wouldn’t be easy one but we never imagined, it would look like this. We are so thankful that Disruptive Hope assisted us in bridging the financial gap we incurred and supporting us through this process – especially with how quickly it unfolded! We hope to give back to them in the future so that they can continue to change lives in the same way they changed ours."
