We hope you're enjoying time with family and friends this holiday season! We have so much to be thankful for with finalization news from all 3 families in our last newsletter. We currently have a waiting list of 5 families who need financial assistance to return to the adoption process. In honor of National Adoption Awareness Month, Disruptive Hope has a donor willing to match all donations up to $25,000 through the end of 2024! Our Families:
We continue to keep up with Stephanie & Joseph, Jill & Charlie, Brooke & Mathew, and Brianna & Tyler. All of their babies (now toddlers) are healthy and thriving!
We have wonderful news to share from Nicole & Eric who finalized the adoption of their son Tamin. This means they are now legally his parents. We couldn't be happier for them after having endured 5 disrupted matches throughout their adoption journey. Here's an update of what your support has meant to them as they continue to build their family.
"Eric, Tamin, and I are amazing! He is the happiest boy and has filled our home with so much love and joy! We sat in front of a judge and finalized on September 16th. It was one of the most incredible experiences hearing the judge make it 'officially official'. It had been such a long road getting to that mountain top of a moment. Before Tamin, Eric and I had several disrupted matches. This left us heart broken and with a significant loss of funds. We are so grateful for the financial and personal and spiritual support that Disrupted Hope blessed us with. In fact, because of this support we were able to recover our adoption account and continue to save. With great excitement we are able to say….we are matched with baby #2, coming December 23rd!!! Disrupted Hope is now forever a part of the beautiful puzzle that pieced our family together."
Jessica & Chris have also finalized the adoption of their baby girl Valencia who was born in February. We are so excited for them as they take these next steps together as a family. "I cannot put into words what a huge gift this was and is to our family. Our adoption journey would not end in grief and sadness but would eventually lead us to our daughter. And this gift would go beyond our family. It would bless the birth mom of our future daughter and her extended family as we would eventually build relationships with each of them. Our family of 6 could not be more smitten with her. Her smiles and giggles are always contagious. She has brought light and joy into our lives after some very hard and dark times. The blessing and honor to be called her family is not lost on us as we get to experience her first holidays, teeth, sitting and more. She is a miracle that is in our lives because of Disruptive Hope Fund. We are forever grateful for making our continued journey possible. "
In our last newsletter we introduced you to new family Caryn & Sam with their beautiful baby boy named Lawson. They have finalized recently as well. If you're interested in learning more about their journey, please check out their post on our blog.
"The past few months have been filled with fun summer and fall activities - trips to the park, Halloween celebrations, and trying new foods. A special highlight was in August when we officially finalized Lawson’s adoption, and big brother Sawyer had the honor of hitting the gavel! We also had a memorable visit to a pumpkin farm, where we spent time with some of Lawson’s birth family. I am incredibly grateful for the beautiful bond we've built through our shared love for sweet Lawson. We regularly exchange texts and pictures, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit after the holidays. Words can’t fully express the love we feel for this precious boy!"
We are so excited for these families and ask you to keep 2 more in your thoughts and prayers who are back in the adoption process due to your generosity. We have 1 family who has rematched and is awaiting placement in December and another still waiting for another match. At this time, we have a waiting list of 5 additional families seeking financial support.
